The 2001 World Series was a gripping spectacle from its belated first pitch to its climactic finish in early November. Encapsulated and Graded NM-7 by PSA, the offered full ticket was issued for the heart-stopping finale of that 2001 Fall Classic. Measuring 3x7, the colorful voucher features a Fall-themed design accented by event and host Arizona Diamondbacks logos. With printed seating and event legends, the ticket bears a "$110" asking price and granted its bearer a 28th row vantage point at Bank One Ballpark. Delayed in the wake of the 9-11 tragedies that year, the series was the first to extend into November and the first in which the expansion Diamondbacks appeared. Tense and taut down to the wire, Arizona's conquest culminated on a rare blown save by Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, who yielded the game-tying and winning runs in the bottom of the 9th in Game 7. This is one of only seven full examples in the PSA census, with one equal and only one graded higher.
